161st Grand Master to Lead Indiana Freemasons.



Gregory C. Walbridge was installed as the 161st Grand Master of the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Indiana during the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge, held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, May 17-18, 2011. The Grand Master of Freemasons in Indiana is the highest authority within the Fraternity. The Grand Master serves for a one year period beginning at his installation in office on May 18, 2011.


Gregory C. Walbridge is a native of Fort Wayne and attended the Fort Wayne public schools. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Construction Engineering and Management. While at Purdue he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity and raced in the Purdue Grand Prix. It was also at Purdue where he met his future wife, Susan. After working in the construction and engineering fields in Houston, Pittsburgh and New Jersey, the Walbridges moved back to Fort Wayne and began working in the family solid waste and recycling business. He is Past President of National Serv-all and has lead Southwest Development and Earth First in land development and solid waste and recycling ventures.

The Walbridges have been married for 28 years and reside in Fort Wayne. They have four children, Ryan, Michael, Sarah and Marie.

Mr. Walbridge is a Past Master of Waynedale Lodge No. 739 in Fort Wayne. He also holds memberships in the Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne, Mizpah Shrine, the Fort Wayne York Rite Bodies, Red Cross of Constantine and the National Sojourners. He received the Sovereign Grand Inspector General, 33 in 2004. He was appointed to the Grand Lodge officer line in 2006.

Mr. Walbridge started the family foundation known as the RMSM Foundation in 1997 which supports numerous Fort Wayne area non-profits. He also co-founded There Is Hope, an after-school program for underprivileged children where they get one on one tutoring help daily and a strong Christian message and guidance. He has also served on the Canterbury School and Aboite New Trails and is a member of Young Presidents Organization and the Ancient Mystical Order of Rosicrucians.
